Grandson

I brought back to life a mini CRT TV that came from my grandparents' house clear out. I wanted to play with the idea of a tiny, non-networked device as a singular, vulnerable entity as we're increasingly connecting to a wider ecosystem of AI tech that falsely presents itself as one personality. Local, small tech is the tech that can actually be personal, personable, interactable and tractable as an entity on a human scale. This project had me falling in love with this janky little bundle of wires. I considered at what scale interfacing actually becomes intractable - humans are also macro-organisms.
